We all do it. We look at someone else and bring out the mental measuring stick.

We also know it's not good for us. So what is a woman to do?

In this episode of Our Time to Rise, Sarah Hauser talks about the burden of comparison and why we pick it up and carry it. In some ways we can't prevent those feelings from bubbling up, but we can address them early so they don't grow into something bigger and more toxic.

Whether it's body image, tax bracket, title and position, or family dynamics, we can all do a little assessment of where we tend to compare and how we can flip that behavior to celebrating someone else's good fortune and accomplishment.

This conversation goes deeper than "just don't do it". Sarah gives us real, practical approaches to how we can move away from comparison.

All Who Are Weary: Finding True Rest By Letting Go of the Burdens You Were Never Meant to Carry

Questions for Reflection to Help You Rise

  1. What burdens am I carrying that I was not meant to carry?
  2. In what area am I experiencing grief that I need to let go of?
  3. In what area am I experiencing comparison? And how can I let go of that?
